My review of Maybelline’s Fit Me Poreless Liquid foundation

Fit Me Poreless Liquid de Maybelline

Hello my darlings! Today I bring you my review of the Fit Me Poreless Liquid foundation from Maybelline. It is a super popular foundation that can be bought anywhere, and it is quite low cost. As you know, for the skin I usually like to use higher-end products, so will this makeup be up to the task or not? Keep on reading to find out.

The reason I bought it is because due to the pandemic there are no makeup samples in stores. So I didn’t want to risk spending 50 euros/pounds on makeup just to realise it wouldn’t suit my skin tone. And I had to buy one because I had run out of the one I had.

So as I could not try it out, I bought this one. If it didn’t work I would not lose much money.

Description

Maybelline’s Fit Me foundation serves to mattify the skin and hide open pores. It is designed for normal to oily skin. Its formulation contains micropowders that help control shine and blur open pores.

It is dermatologically tested, comedogenic and is not supposed to produce allergies. It is also available in a corrective version.

Let’s say it’s like carrying foundation and powders two in one, so to speak.

Maybelline’s Fit Me Poreless Liquid makeup foundation is available in 32 shades. Quite a variety, really.

What skin type is Maybelline fit me for?

This foundation works best for very oily skins in my opinion.

How to use Maybelline’s Fit Me Foundation?

We apply this foundation after the last product used in our day care routine, which should be sunscreen or moisturizer with SPF.

We can use it with or without makeup foundation before.

Spread with a flat brush or makeup sponge. I personally am one of those who prefer brushes.

In this photo you see the swatches of the foundation. It obviously has no filters. As you can see it covers the blue sales well and fits with my color.

My review of Maybelline Fit Me Poreless Liquid foundation

I have slightly different opinions about this makeup foundation.

First of all, it lasts all day, without any problem. It holds up very well and I have nothing to say against.

On the other hand, it does act against the shine of the skin. The skin keeps matte all day. I have very shiny areas in my forehead and nose, I can’t help it, and this foundation reduces them quite visibly. I don’t know if it’s micropowders on it or what. Of course, I always use makeup powders afterwards to finish. But compared to Maybelline’s Fit Me with other foundations, this one really works to reduce the shine in the skin.

Does it hide open pores? Well, I have to say no. I don’t see my pores smaller in any way. Or no more than with other foundations.

As for the formulation, although it is for normal and oily skin and mine is mixed, I have to say that it dries a bit. I think it doesn’t have a very uniform finish. After a few hours, in the driest areas of the face, such as the eyebrows or around the mouth I can see how the skin looks a little dry. If you have oily skin all over your face, this should not be a problem.

The application is light, does not feel heavy or strong at any time.

It blends relatively well. It doesn’t quite fade when I apply on my eye concealer, but oh well.

Finally, in terms of color, I chose 105. It has good coverage and is beautiful, but maybe I would have liked something darker, especially now for the summer. I like to have a more orange color and pulling tanning on the skin of the face. Also, always wearing my sunscreen sometimes makes me look a little whiter and I want to counteract it.

But taking into account that I have chosen it without testing it first with a sample I am pretty happy with the result.

How do I choose a Fit Me foundation shade?

As I said before, it is available in 32 shades, so you should have no problem getting it right.

For reference I am using 105 shade here.
