Recently I shared my opinion of the Cleanance Mat, and today I do the review of its day time version, the Hydrance UV Light Moisturizing Emulsion SPF30 from Avène.
What is the SPF30 Light UV Hydrance for?
According to Avène, the purpose of this cream is to moisturize the skin while protecting it from ultraviolet rays, free radicals and other environmental factors.
Like all products of the brand, its composition includes thermal water, an ingredient used to treat sensitive skin. It is suitable, therefore, if you have problems with mild skin allergies or even during pregnancy, for example. Although I think that if you have doubts, it is better to always ask your pharmacist. In addition, it does not contain parabens.
This cream is designed for sensitive skin, whether oily, combination or normal.
As I mentioned at the beginning, I use the Hydrance UV Light Moisturizing Emulsion SPF30 together with the Cleanance Matifying Lotion, from Avène as well. During the day I use the one with sunscreen and at night the other.
Price and where to buy
This cream is available in pharmacies and Amazon.
The Hydrance UV Light Moisturizing Emulsion SPF30 is sold in a size of 40 ml. Normally the creams are usually sold in bottles of 50 ml. In other words, it will last a little less than normal.
How to use Avène Hydrance Light-UV Hydrating Emulsion SPF30
As it has a protector we must use it during the day only. After cleansing the face and applying the serum and eye cream.
Why only during the day? Because the formulation of sunscreens can slightly clog pores. It will not hurt you, but it is totally unnecessary to have that formulation on your skin during the night hours.
The sun protection it offers, SPF30, is, for me, ideal for any time of the year. SPF 10, for me is practically zero. Especially if you live in countries with many hours of sunshine. I see the SPF 50 as very heavy for day to day. Although if you work outdoors it may be your best option.
The other day I taught you my routine at night, and today I show you my routine during the day. Here you can see in what order to apply cosmetic products in the morning:
My reviiew on Avène’s Hydrance UV Light Moisturizing Emulsion SPF30
I have been using this cream for three months, so I have been able to see how it works.
Let’s talk about how to apply it first. It has a light and relatively matte texture, which isn’t easy when it comes to sunscreen creams, so fine. Obviously you can’t expect it to be as matte as a cream without sunscreen, some shine ends up coming out, but less than with other creams.
The fact that it is a light texture makes it very suitable for oily and combination skin. Also if you have acne-prone skin.
However, if you are looking for a moisturiser for combination skin that helps you fight against premature aging of the skin, it may not be the solution. Being very light, it moisturizes the skin and keeps it elastic, but does not nourish it.
When it comes to treating the open pores of my skin, it has had no effect, either positive or negative.
This cream is not a product to combat the signs of aging, that must be taken into account. There is an article where I talk about the best effective anti-wrinkle treatments and a lot of blog articles about specific anti-wrinkle creams, such as the Multi-Active Jour from Clarins, or the Hydra Zen Fluide SPF 30 from Lancôme, among others. But Avène’s Light UV Hydrance is not one of them.
This is my impression of Avène’s Hydrance UV Light Moisturizing Emulsion SPF30 lotion. If you are thinking of buying it I hope you found it useful. If you do not know very well which cream to choose, you can read this article on how to choose the best cream for combination skin.
