Top 5 Shampoos for Bleached Hair

los 5 mejores champús para el cabello maltratado por decoloración,

To get a Barbie hair you have to bleach it out. It is a fact. But to compensate for the damage it is in our hands to choose the right products. That’s why today I talk about the 5 best shampoos for hair damaged by bleaching, based on my experience with them.

I’m not going to give you an endless list of shampoos. Nor am I going to talk about the ones that are going viral at the minute. What I’m going to tell you are the ones that, to me, personally have worked the best with my bleached hair. I have classified them into different categories, according to their main benefit. So you can guide yourself on which shampoo can come best depending on the state of your hair.

For example, it is not the same if you have bleaching and need a deep reconstruction, than if you have highlights and what you really need is to tone them and play with the natural base of the hair that does not have highlights.

Top 5 Shampoos for Bleached Hair

1. The best violet shampoo for bleached hair: John Frieda

This is the best shampoo for hair battered by bleaching that also suffers from unwanted yellow tones. Why do I say it’s the best? Well, because this shampoo is so powerful that you may not need to tone the bleaching with dye, and thus save you a step of additional damage to your hair.

In this post I leave you the complete review of John Frieda’s violet shampoo.

Just a recommendation about this shampoo: it is very strong, so only use it if you really need to nuance. And be careful if you have very white hair, as it can be gray.

2. Shampoo for badly damaged bleached hair: Pro-fiber

Here you have the complete review of L’Oréal Professionnel’s Pro-Fiber. But in summary I will tell you that this is the shampoo that saved me when my hair was at its worst.

I’im talking of a need for deep repair. It was the time when I left the root discoloration every 3 or 4 weeks, since I had strands that were no more than 3 or 4 centimeters long. Chewing gum hair that was impossible to comb while wet.

L’Oréal Professionnel’s Pro-fiber shampoo I remember that for me it was miraculous at the time.

3. The best sulfate-free shampoo for hair damaged by bleaching: No. 4 from Olaplex

Olaplex’s n4 shampoo has been a recent discovery but has jumped straight to my list of favourite shampoos for bleached hair. The reason is that it is effective from day 1 but with the difference that it does not use harmful products in its formulation.

In this post you have the complete review of Olaplex N4 shampoo in case you want all the details of my experience with it. But to sum up I will tell you that it brings a lot of softness to the hair. The areas that I have whiter and more “chewy” in bleached hair look stronger and softer once the hair is dry.

Also, not carrying sulfates is great for my staple extensions.

4. Shampoo for hair damaged by bleaching and dyeing: Absolute Repair by L’Oréal Professionnel

L’Oréal Professionnel’s Absolute Repair Lipidium reconstructive shampoo is especially recommended if you have a temptation in addition to discoloration. For example, if you wear a fancy color, or if you simply tone your fading with a light blonde dye. In this type of hair we are especially mistreating the hair, since in addition to the deco we are adding the developer of the dye. And of course, the higher the water we use, the greater the damage.

Here’s my take on L’Oréal Professionnel’s Absolute Repair shampoo.

L’Oréal Professionnel has another shampoo, Vitamino Color, but in my opinion it is not so restorative with the Absolute Repair. That is not specific for very bleached hair, while the Absolute Repair is.

Like all L’Oréal shampoos, it comes with its mask and other products, to enhance the effects. And although the shampoo is great to start the repair treatment, we must remember that the care product during washing (mask) is the one that will really repair our hair.

By the way, recently they have changed the packaging of this product (like that of other L’Oréal Professionnel products), so do not be surprised if you see it with another format.

5. The best shampoo for bleached and fine hair: Nutrifier by L’Oréal Professionnel.

Why do I recommend L’Oréal Professionnel’s Nutrifier for bleached and fine hair? Well, because this shampoo does not add weight to the hair.

When we use repair products it sometimes happens that they add weight to the hair. And if you have fine or straight hair then it may not be the best option. With the Nutrifier you have the good of repair without adding excess weight to your hair.

As a curious fact I will tell you that this range not only has shampoo, but also pre-shampoo.

In this post you have my complete review of the Nutrifier by L’Oréal Professionnel.

This is my list of shampoos that, in my experience, work best for bleached hair. This list may vary as I try new products, but many of them have been my favourite for years.

Those of you who read me often know that I have been bleaching for 10 years now. For some years I have worn bleached hair from the scalp, and for others I had balayage type highlights. This is my personal list of products that work best for platinum blonde or highlight hair.

See you here very soon.

Much love,
