Today we are going to review two moisturisers, the Hydra Zen fluid SPF 30 and Hydra Zen Nuit, from Lancôme, to see if they really work. As you know, I like to use day and night creams of the same line and brand to enhance their effects, and as always, after a while trying them I tell you my experience. So let’s go there with my opinion about Lancôme’s Hydra Zen.
What is Lancome Hydra Zen Nuit used for?
Lancôme’s Hydra Zen line is designed for young skin, and is a moisturizing treatment, but not anti-aging. According to the brand, this line helps relieve the effects of stress on the skin.
You can use it, in general, whatever your skin type. Mine is mixed/oily, for your reference.
I know I always talk about how important it is to use anti-wrinkle creams, but I wanted to use something lighter for a season, that’s why I decided to buy these.
If you are looking for anti-aging creams from Lancôme, they have other lines that may interest you more, such as Génifique or Rénergie.
The day cream, the Anti-Stress Fluid with SPF 30 has a version without sunscreen, which is the Hydra Zen Glow, which is very similar.
But if what you really want is to combat wrinkles with treatments, I recommend that you take a look at the article on the Top 5 effective anti-wrinkle treatments.
Now, let’s talk a little more about the Hydra Zen line and what my experience with it has been.
How to use Hydra Zen Anti-Stress moisturisers
The day cream, the Anti-Stress Moisturizing Fluid with SPF 30, I use in the morning, after washing the face, applying eye contour and serum. I don’t apply sunscreen afterwards because the cream already includes it.
This cream can be used in conjunction with the Énergie de Vie eye contour, a Lancôme line very similar to Hydra Zen. It is the one that is green.
The night cream, likewise, I use it after removing makeup from the face, and applying eye contour and serum.
Price and point of sale
The Hydra Zen fluid SPF 30 day cream can be found in many stores, including Amazon. Same for the night cream.
Effectiveness of the Hydra Zen line
Anti-Stress Moisturizing Fluid SPF 30
As its name suggests, this cream is not really a cream but a fluid. That is, it has a super light texture. That’s why it comes in an elongated bottle with dispenser instead of the traditional canister.
Fluid creams are especially indicated for oily or combination skin. You may already know this, but if not, in this article I tell you what you should know when choosing a cream for combination or oily skin, and a small selection of my favourites. If the fluid version does not suit you, there is also the cream version, with a richer texture and more suitable for dry skin.
After having been using as a day cream the Multi-Active Day with SPF 15 from Clarins, which I did not like very much because it did not moisturize, this one, in comparison, I like more. It has twice the protection against the sun (30 instead of 15) and is not sticky at all. The skin is hydrated, but without excess shine.
On the other hand, this cream has 30 sunscreen, which you know we should apply all year round and even more in summer. In winter we can spend maybe with an SPF 10 or 15, but in summer I always look for something that is at least 30 (the truth is that creams with factor 50 end up being very sticky and heavy for my taste).
Hydra Zen Nuit Hydratant Anti-Stress
As for the night cream, the Hydra Zen Nuit Anti-Stress, has a gel texture, making it great for combination or oily skin.
Although it was not an anti-aging cream but simply moisturizing, I do not see much difference compared to other specific creams.
Finally I have to say, that I do not understand much about cosmetic ingredients, but I have to say that I notice that the formulation of this cream is gentle and respectful with the skin.
My review about Lancôme’s Hydra Zen
Both the Fluide Hydratant Anti-Stress SPF 30 cream and the Hydra Zen Nuit Anti-Stress have met my expectations. The truth is that for the next ones I try I will look for something that acts more against wrinkles, to make sure. But I have to say that these creams are not bad if you are looking for a treatment for young skin and pulling to oily / combination.
In my opinion, both day cream and night gel have a very light texture but still moisturize. Something that is not easy to combine sometimes. I think I would recommend them.

Is Lancome Hydra Zen discontinued?
Unfortunately, Fluide Hydratant Anti-Stress SPF 30 cream and the Hydra Zen Nuit Anti-Stress are now discountinued. I will update this post if I ever find them back in stock. Some of them are back in Amazon. You can check in the links above.
So much for my opinion about Lancôme’s Hydra Zen. See you here very soon. Take great care of yourselves and continue to be very beautiful.
Lots of love,
Deliria Rose
